Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes
Learning Outcomes of UE
The aim of this course is to provide a basic understanding of the zoology of the major groups. Systematics, physiology and anatomy are presented in relation to the evolutionary history of organisms. The importance of animal behavior in homeostatic regulation will be emphasized.
UE Content: description and pedagogical relevance
Knowledge of animal behavior, homeostasis, adaptive ecophysiology, thermoregulation, circulation systems, respiration systems, feeding modes. Basic knowledge of linean sytematic methods, phylogenetic taxonomy. Mandatory practical work will present in detail the zoology of certain groups and will include a field trip out of the university.
