Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes
Learning Outcomes of UE
Students will have the ability to translate fiction, poetry, drama and essays on the basis of the historical presentation given in class.
They will learn to analyse a text and identify its structure, as well as the stylistic devices used by the author. They will also learn to identify intertextuality and the social, psychological and aesthetic connotations of the work.
UE Content: description and pedagogical relevance
Introductory seminars on modern and contemporary Chinese literature (history, themes, trends)
Literary analysis of texts.
Translation of fiction texts (short stories).
Comparisons of translations.
Reading of theoretical texts dealing with issues of literary translation.
Analysis of literary texts.
Literary writing exercises.
