Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes

Learning Outcomes of UE

The focus of this course will be on the ownership structures of companies and more specifically those of large groups listed on the stock market. After a contextualization of two markets (Belgian and French), the student will be led to understand the reasons for the evolution of capital structures and the power relationships between shareholders. Particular attention will be paid to institutional investors, their activism and the possibility to coalesce with other shareholders. The course will be largely based on a case study approach.
