UE Content: description and pedagogical relevance

Quality management and strategy management are closely linked.
The implementation of a quality management system should be seen as an opportunity to develop and implement strategy in a pragmatic and effective way.

The course is divided into three parts:
The first part is devoted to quality management.

What is quality?
Where does it come from?
What are the main standards that students will face when they become public managers?
And most importantly: what are the fundamental principles of quality?

The second part briefly looks at strategic and operational management in the public sector.

The third part combines the first two parts: quality management for strategic management.

In this third part, students will discover different quality tools that they will be invited to practice in exercises and assignments: stakeholder analysis, environmental analysis, process management, risk analysis, self-assessment and organisational maturity analysis, development of KPIs and dashboards.
