Learning Outcomes of UE

By using case studies situations students will have to analyze HR issues and organizational contexts in order to define appropriate HR strategies linked to specific HR practices. Students have to think about strategies that can help organizations to stand out from competing companies and define the way an organization can affect available resources to human resource management

UE Content: description and pedagogical relevance

This seminar focuses on :
- the analysis of internal and external organizational contexts. Students have to detect threats, opportunities, strengths and weaknesses surrounding human resource management. Thanks to such analysis students will be able to define the company main HR issues and to propose HR strategies.
- specific HR strategies (related to HR practices such as planning, recruitment,  ...) linked to particular contexts.

Q2 UE Assessment Comments

Evaluation is based on written reports, oral presentation made around 4 case studies that are treated during the semester in groups or individually depending on the number of students.
These case studies are continuously assessed during the year. Students must therefore attend each seminar session.
Given the organization of the seminar, no second session is possible.
