Objectifs par rapport aux acquis d'apprentissage du programme
Acquis d'apprentissage de l'UE
This UE is constituted of 3 AA :
- TELE-045 - Communications for Automotive and Smart Grid Networks
Understand the basic operations and the advantages and drawbacks of the different types of industrial telecommunications networks - wired local area networks (fieldbus or Ethernet-based) or wireless and access networks. Be able to summarise by yourself their various applications in the fields of intra-vehicle and inter-vehicle communications, as well as in the intelligent electrical network.
- I-ILIA-032 - Edge AI
Understand the basics Edge computing and Edge AI
Understand the relation between IoT objects and embedded AI
Develop and optimize Edge AI modules that allow to reduce memory and energy consumption
Integrate Edge AI modules in real life use cases such as Smart Cities and Smart Homes.
- I-ILIA-033 - IoT Project
Integrated software development project dedicated to Internet of Things, connected objects and their use:
x Develop an application dedicated for managing data generated from connected objects by processing the entire pipeline from data collection to storage.
x Using sensors and connected objects within the software development project.
x Using wireless communication protocols dedicated to connected objects in the field of Internet of things.
x Studying the security of connected objects.
x The project could be dedicated a specific use case related to connected objects in the field of IoT.
Contenu de l'UE : descriptif et cohérence pédagogique
This UE is constituted of 3 AA. I-TELE-045 teaches the industrail telecommunications networks and gives examples in the frame of communications for automotives and smart grid. I-ILIA-033 develop a project approach to connect telecommunications nodes, retreive and transmit their data for processing. Finally, I-ILIA-032, emphasises the relationship between iot objects, edgde computing and AI.
- TELE-045 - Communications for Automotive and Smart Grid Networks
Wired local area networks (e.g. CAN, industrial Ethernet, etc.) and the issue of Internet connectivity. Industrial wireless networks (e.g. WiFi Halow, etc.). Access networks (e.g. fibre optics, carrier currents, etc.). Personal study of a case study related to intelligent networks (e.g. smart meter connectivity, SCADA, ....), based on the documents provided. Personal study, based on the documents supplied, of a case study relating to intra-vehicle or inter-vehicle networks (e.g. CANOpen, Modus, fieldbus, V2V, V2I....).
- I-ILIA-032 - Edge AI
Introduction and presentation of Edge Computing basics
Introduction of Edge AI basics
Edge AI for reducing energy consumption and Smart Cities.
- I-ILIA-033 - IoT Project
Getting started with using sensors and their connectivity with embedded devices such as Arduino, Lopy, Raspberry Pi, etc.
Studying and using wireless communication protocols (and possibly wired) used for sensors information transmission.
Build a dashboard allowing to monitor and analyze data from different connected objects. This dashboard should be cross-platform (Web/Desktop/Mobile).
Implement an actuation policy used to control the status of certain connected objects according to the data received from sensors (for example: electrical appliances, electric doors or windows, heaters, etc.)
Identify a backup strategy with different kind of databases.
Note: I-TELE-045 and I-ILIA-032 and I-ILIA-033 are part of the same UE. Their weighting in the total score of the UE corresponds to their number of credits (ETCS). In the case of failure of the UE, the marks for a successful AA will carry over to the next session.
